The Oak Island Code is a work of parody and fiction. However, the story presented here may eventually turn out to be fact. For who knows what the real “code” to the Oak Island enigma might be.

Oak Island, Nova Scotia, is a real place where a treasure hunt has been ongoing since 1795, when evidence of possible buried treasure was first discovered. To date, some $5 million has been expended to solve the mystery, and six lives have been lost in the quest. Not a dime of treasure has ever been recovered. Yet the search continues, because there is irrefutable evidence that someone buried something deep beneath the island many hundreds of years ago. Who they were, what they hid, and whether it is still there are questions that have made this site one of the world’s longest and most expensive treasure hunts.

The authors, D’Arcy O’Connor and Danny Hennigar whimsically use dueling chapters in which their two fictional characters, Karcy and Tank, battle one another for the limelight to determine which one is best suited to solve the mystery. Supported by a cast of many others (all of whom are based on real persons associated with Oak Island in one way or another), Karcy and Tank eventually arrive at the ultimate truth.

And it is something that neither of them had foreseen from the start.
