About the O.I.T.S.

The Oak Island Tourism Society is an organization of interested individuals from home and around the world, headed by an elected board of directors.

The Society wishes to revive and invigorate interest in Oak Island, seeking the continued cooperation of land owners.

This goal shall be accomplished by securing the rights to operate guided tours on Oak Island centralized through an interpretive centre for the sole purpose of promoting Oak Island to tourists from home and around the world. 

The activities of the Society will be done at reasonable cost to future visitors, but shall also be an economically viable venture for the Society.

It is in the best interest of the Oak Island Tourism Society to accomplish this with due regard for the concerns of local residents, minimal impact on the environment, sincerity to the memory of lives lost searching for the treasure and honour and recognition to all the treasure hunters past, present and future.

The Oak Island Tourism Society believes this can be done through carefully executed, professional, ethical, tasteful and entertaining means.  This project is one that could appreciate world scrutiny and bring even more respect and acclaim to all Nova Scotians.
